Win $2,500 from Blurb

Okay, so after my recent post about Blurb and how they are helping my 6 year old daughter realize her goal of becoming an author and illustrator, before becoming a baby doctor of course, I got a bunch of questions and comments from friends about who  Blurb is and how they thought it was cool. Also, at the end of that post, I mentioned that now was a good time to check them out because they were running a contest in which you could win up to $2,500. That got LOTS of questions. So this post will try to answer all those questions. AND there’s more. Since writing that post I’ve found out about a couple more deals that I can share with you.(this post contains affiliate links and I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking them)

So here’s how it works, Blurb may give you up to $2,500 for creating a book about someone dear to you. All you have to do is use your own creativity, your own words, insight and experiences to make a book about a loved one. If your book is chosen, you could win the grand prize! How awesome is that!? There are seven different categories you could enter. So if you submitted something in each of these categories you would have seven chances of winning.

If the $2,500 wasn’t enough incentive to enter this contest, Blurb is also offering  30% off the printed  product for each of the books you create. The discount will be applied to your order at checkout when you use the promo code: MYFAVORITE

Even if you don’t enter the contest, you can still get 30% off any My Favorite books or save 15% on any printed orders through April 30th!

Go to Blurb to see the details of the contest, what the categories are and when the due date is for each category submission.

If you’re not sure what to write about, just do what I do when I’m writing and imagine you are talking to someone face-to-face. If you need some ideas, here’s a short video with some people from Blurb talking about their favorite people. Listen to what they have to say.

I hope this post was able to answer the questions I’ve been getting about this company and this contest. As always, feel free to message me using my contact me page. And hope to see you next time.
